DAILY MASS & STATIONS OF THE CROSS

Daily Mass is a unique way to journey with Christ these 40 days of Lent.  Please consider coming to worship God one day a week!  Daily Mass times at The Catholic Center are Monday - Thursday at 7:00 p.m. and Friday at 8:30 a.m.

STATIONS OF THE CROSS will take place on Fridays during Lent at 4:00 p.m.

Guidelines for Lent

The time of Lent is observed by Catholics as a special season of prayer, penance and works of charity.  Ash Wednesday and Good Friday, in particular, are the most penitential days of the liturgical year.  They are days of both fasting and abstinence.

The rule of FASTING states that only one full meal can be taken.  Two small meals, suffiecient to maintain strength, are allowed, but together they should not equal another full meal.  The rule of fasting obliges Catholics from age 18-59.

ABSTINENCE refers to the eating of meat.  Fridays during Lent are days of abstinence.  The rule of abstinence obliges all Catholics 14 years of age and older.

ASH WEDNESDAY MASS SCHEDULE

The Mass Schedule for Ash Wednesday is 7:15 a.m., 12:15 p.m., 7:00 p.m., 9:00 p.m.

Ashes will be distributed at all the Masses.
