Come join hundreds of thousands of other pro-lifers at the 35th Annual March for Life in Washington, D.C. The March is next Tuesday (1/22), the 35th anniversary of Roe v. Wade,
the court case that made abortion legal in the U.S. We’ll also attend a Youth Rally and Mass with over 20,000 young Catholic pro-lifers. It’s an awesome experience and a great opportunity to stand up for our Catholic belief in the sanctity of all human life.
Here’s the plan:
-Depart Monday morning (1/21) at 6 am from the Catholic Center to drive down to Washington D.C. (you have Monday off for MLK Day)
-Spend Monday night in Washington, D.C. and have a little time to see the city
-Youth Rally and Mass on Tuesday morning
-March for Life to the Capitol Building, early Tuesday afternoon
-After the March, leave to drive back to Vermont (planning on getting back to UVM Tuesday night around 1 or 2 am; so, you’d only have to miss one day of classes to go).
Please RSVP as soon as possible (space in the van is limited) to catholic@uvm.edu. It would be awesome to have you along.

The Rally for Life Mass will be on Saturday, January 19, 2008 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Augustine Church in Montpelier. Bishop Matano will be the main celebrant.
The Rally for Life 2008, which begins shortly after the Mass, is sponsored by the Vermont Right to Life Committee to protest the Supreme Court Roe v Wade decision that legalized abortion on demand throughout the country. Participants will gather at 10:45 a.m. in the parking lot behind St. Augustine Church in Montpelier to line up for the march to the State House for brief opening remarks on the front steps. The indoor rally will feature speaker Angela Franks, author of Margaret Sanger’s Eugenic Legacy: The Control of Female Fertility. Ms. Franks will provide a lively historical presentation of the real goals of Planned Parenthood, the largest chain of abortion centers everywhere and of its founder.
Any student interested in attending the Rally for Life Mass & March, please e-mail catholic@uvm.edu before Thursday, January 17 so that we can plan for enough transportation. We will be meeting at The Catholic Center at 8:00 a.m.
