During Advent, we have a giving tree in our lounge with baby booties on them. We ask you to consider taking a baby bootie, shop for the item indicated and place them under the tree before December 15th. The items will be distributed to Women Helping Battered Women, CareNet Pregnancy Services and Birthright.

We are planning a trip to Montreal to do some service work with Mother Teresa’s sisters. After helping the sisters, we will be going to see some of the churches in Montreal and have dinner in the city. We will be meeting at The Catholic Center at 8:00 a.m. and returning around 9:00 p.m. Please make sure to bring a valid driver’s license, passport or birth certificate with you to cross the border. If you are interested in going, please sign up in the lounge.

Take time out of you busy schedule to join us in Canada for a Day of Prayer to begin Advent. This is a great opportunity for quiet prayer and deepening your relationship with Jesus. We will be meeting at The Catholic Center at 7:45 a.m. and returning by 9:00 p.m. Please fill out a registration form in the lounge by Monday, November 27.

At the end of each academic year, students have an excess number of points on their meal card. We encourage students to purchase non-perishable food items and drop them off at The Catholic Center before leaving for summer break. We will then distribute the items to those in need.

At the end of the school year, many students have extra school supplies. Those wishing to donate the extra school supplies can drop them off at The Catholic Center. We ship them to school children in Nicaragua through the Quest for Peace Program.
